Lower Hopton Ladies FC player sponsorship announcement
DIS are pleased to announce that we’ll be supporting Lower Hopton Ladies FC based in Mirfield throughout the 2023/24 season with player sponsorship.
We’re delighted to say that our sponsored player is Olivia (Liv) Grogan.
Liv is an exceptional and versatile player who is equally adept in central midfield or defence.
Liv was player of the match in last season’s title decider and is quoted as “Loves a slide tackle.”
Lower Hopton Ladies FC is a fantastic, local football club that won the West Riding League Cup 21/22, prior to winning the West Riding Premier Division 22/23 unbeaten.
The club has now been promoted to North East Regional Women’s Football League (NERWFL) and will be competing in:
- The Southern Division in the league
- NERWFL League Cup
- West Riding County Cup
- Women’s Fa Cup.
Lower Hopton will also be playing in the Mavis Ward Trophy final on 20th August at Liversedge’s Clayborn Stadium vs Morley Town.
So, with an exciting season ahead we’d like to take the opportunity to wish the ladies, coaches and supporters all the best for a fantastic, hopefully winning season and the whole DIS team are looking forward to following their progress throughout the season!
