What is Public Cloud?

A cloud solution managed by a 3rd party provider, shared with multiple tenants.

A Public cloud is the same as other cloud solutions in the sense that Public Cloud is run on remote servers, however it is managed by a third-party provider who makes the resource available to users remotely, sharing resources between multiple tenants.

These tenants rent the use of the virtual machines with each individual customer’s data and applications that are operating in the public cloud being concealed from the other tenants.

Popular Cloud deployment model

Alternative model to IT architecture investment

Public Cloud is a popular cloud deployment model, that is easily accessible to businesses of all sizes with resources being provisioned on demand, whereby you only pay for what you require, with multiple vendors and solutions to choose from you can pick the most appropriate solution/s for your business.

With an easy set-up process your IT department can easily configure the set up remotely, via an internet connection.

Traditionally, one of the main reasons that businesses adopt a Public Cloud solution is due to the cost of Public Cloud being significantly lower than that of a Private Cloud or Hybrid Cloud model.

Through adopting Public Cloud you initially remove any Capital Expenditure required to purchase the costly IT infrastructure, as this is all owned and managed by the Service Provider.

In addition to this, you are also reducing the management time and cost that is required to upkeep the IT Infrastructure.
