What is bandwidth? And is bandwidth the same as internet speed? These are two questions that are often asked and mistaken.

Bandwidth is the term used to describe the maximum quantity of data that is transmitted over a wired or wireless internet connection within a specified amount of time.

In contrast, internet speed is the capacity of information that can be sent over a connection in a measured amount of time and is calculated in Megabits per second, or you will probably be more familiar with Mbps.
