Welcoming our latest apprentice Ben

At Data Installation & Supplies we are proud that we hold the values of investing in our people with the highest regards.

As such we are pleased to announce that we are today welcoming Ben to the DIS family… Ben is joining us to undertake his Network Cabling Apprenticeship.

Apprenticeships with DIS

For more than two years now DIS has been welcoming new talent. To grow our exceptional engineering team through our apprenticeship programme.

Nurturing new talent in line with our company values of innovation, collaboration and growth. We’re excited to help Ben develop his skills and knowledge, whilst gaining on hand experience working on our customer sites.

Through Ben’s apprenticeship he will be working closely with our existing engineering team. Benefitting from their extensive knowledge and experience. At the same time gaining many formally recognised qualifications, including achieving his Gold ECS Card, whilst becoming confident and competent in the following areas:

• Installation of copper and fibre optic cables
• The ability to interpret detailed project plans
• Installing network equipment in cabinets
• Undertaking performance-based testing
• Work within Health and Safety guidelines
• Use and care for equipment correctly
• Manage workflow activities as well as personal time and attendance tracking

But for starters Ben will be completing his inductions and then some basic introductory network cabling training before he’s let loose into the DIS world!

We will look forward to providing regular updates on Ben’s progress whilst undertaking his Apprenticeship Programme over the coming months, demonstrating how he is settling into the team at DIS.

But for now, we would like to formally welcome Ben, and we’re sure our wonderful customers will look forward to meeting Ben on site soon.
