In one of our latest projects, we took the challenge of enhancing our customer’s physical security, whilst integrating an innovative access control system.
Today’s blog post discusses the project, showcasing how our expertise and unaverred commitment to excellence has created a secure and efficient environment for our customer.
The Challenge:
Our customer, a leading name in the Food Production sector challenged us to deliver a solution to bolster their security, at the same time streamlining the Access Control at the employee entrance to the facility.
We approached the challenge in three ways:
- A physical security solution is required
- Seamless entry for employees is imperative
- Advanced Access Control for user experience and enhanced security
The DIS Solution:
To ensure a robust first line of defence, we installed bespoke turnstiles and gates to create a dedicated, secure employee entrance into the warehouse.
We worked closely with our partner to design the employee entrance to meet the customers exact requirements, meeting their operational needs, whilst maintaining a safe, efficient environment.
Each element from the design phase through to installation, was planned meticulously to ensure that the gates and turnstiles integrated perfectly with the existing infrastructure.
The employee entrance now provides a controlled entry point for employees, allowing for smooth, quick access, at the same time, preventing unauthorised entry, not only strengthening our customers’ existing security, but also streamlining the daily entrance procedure for employees, minimising delays and enhancing overall operational efficiency, performance and reliability.

We went the extra mile for the customer, with seamless integration of Paxton Access Control into their employee turnstiles and gates.
With our high-level understanding of the operational needs of the customer we ensured the solution not only met, but exceeded their expectations, by providing an enhanced level of security and convenience.
The innovative Access Control solution tailors access privileges to employees quickly and easily, using an intuitive, user-friendly software, with event reports being generated in just a few clicks, and a single-door architecture makes specifying, installing and maintaining the system seamless, with the further ability to integrate advanced features such as site graphics, IP camera integration and ‘triggers and actions’ to further extend the capabilities of the cutting-edge Access Control system.

The turnstiles and gates have significantly supported their efforts in reducing any unauthorised access attempts, whilst the streamlined employee entrance has improved the flow of people, particularly during peak shift periods.
