Mick and Jan Foster, an announcement

The time has come after 40 years, together with my wife and supportive Company Secretary Janet, to step back and reduce our day-to-day involvement at DIS.

I would like to say to the DIS team, I have enjoyed the journey, mostly good and sometimes challenging but I could not have got through it without the loyalty, dedication and dammed hard work of the DIS family.  And to my customers, I would like to think that the relationship we have developed over the years is more than just commercial, to me it’s been a partnership built on trust and respect.

Mick Foster – Managing Director

Since 1983 Mick and Jan have strived to create a company ethos built on delivering the best service and support levels. This, plus working in a trusted partnership with our customers to introduce new and innovative solutions to future proof their investment.

To achieve this, DIS have grown a dedicated, loyal and professional team, who have over the years built strong and lasting relationships with our customers.

Before we give you a roundup of what the last 40 years have entailed for Mick and Jan, we’d like to take this opportunity to reassure all our customers that DIS will remain the same great company it has always been.

We’re pleased to advise that from 31st July, DIS will now be steered by Matt Foster and Adam Foster.

Our customers will be familiar with both Matt Foster our Project Director and Adam Foster our Technical Director. Both of whom have been at DIS for almost 20 years, spending their early years on the tools, before progressing into their director roles in 2015 and 2017.

Having learnt from the best, both Matt and Adam are eager to continue Mick’s legacy of putting our customers first, whilst continuing to build long-term relationships as the name our customers trust to support their IT, Network infrastructure and Security needs.

Although Mick will be stepping back from his day-to-day role as an Account Manager, he will still be very much involved in the decision-making process, not to mention supporting Matt, Adam and the DIS team…

We won’t be getting rid of him that easily!

Following Mick’s Example, Adam and I live and breathe the same working ethos that Mick has created at DIS over the years, ensuring a close working relationship with our customers, building respect and ultimately establishing the correct solutions to their needs.

Matt and I would like to offer huge thanks and congratulations to Mick and Jan for the years of dedication and achievement! What they have created over many years at DIS is amazing, they have put everything into ensuring our service levels are unbeatable. Although everyone at DIS will miss Mick’s bubbly presence in the office on a day-to-day basis, I know they’ll be delighted in the knowledge Mick and Jan are spending more quality time together enjoying life’s adventures.

Adam Foster – Technical Director

All of Mick’s customers (some who have been with DIS from the early days) have been informed and have been introduced to their new Account Manager.

We’re confident that this transition will be smooth as our Account Managers have racked up around 30 years’ experience with DIS. Consequently Mick’s customers are already acquainted with their new Account Manager(s), having already worked with them on many previous occasions.

On the subject of the long-term support of our employees , Mick would like us to point out that the success of DIS has been down to and in no small part due to the fantastic DIS team and their efforts and loyalty over the years.

We’re proud to say many of the team have been with us for over 10, 20 and even 30 years, which just goes to show that DIS really is the best team to work for!

So, we’d love you to please join us in wishing Mick and Jan all the best in their partial retirement and a thank you to them for steering the DIS ship to the fantastic company we are today!
